Irregardless is one of those non-existent words that pops up in usage from time to time. The less in regardless indicates a negating action. The proper word is regardless.
The project will be finished regardless of cost.
You may find it helpful to use the word whether in your sentence.
Regardless of whether we renew their contract….
The team approach works best regardless of whether….

Nice to hear you’re thinking of joining the blogging “world.” As a writer and blogger, I’m partial to the medium. There are pluses and minuses.
First, there isn’t much work in setting up the site. None involving coding. Choose a platform that’s easy to use. This one is on WordPress, which I believe is the most popular platform. Once you set up the site, it’s a matter of producing the content. (Certain plugins are nice to have, but we can save that topic for later.)
The real “work” in a blog is posting columns. If you like to write and have lots to say, it should be a manageable task to write regularly (at least twice a week). You will encounter dry spells, however.
Decide what you want to accomplish with your blog. If your goal is to generate massive traffic to sell product(s), you’ll need to hone your approach.
But, if you just want to post for fun–which is a good way to start–you can do so rather leisurely.
